Post-acute care (PAC) providers play an essential role in new care delivery models, but relief from burdensome regulations is needed so they can continue innovations that bring value to patients, a panel of PAC leaders told congressional staff Jan. 13 at an AHA-sponsored briefing on Capitol Hill.鈥

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services today extended the comment period for its proposed rule that would overhaul the requirements that long-term care facilities must meet to participate in Medicare and Medicaid. The original Sept. 14 comment deadline was extended through Oct.鈥
