Lee Sacks, M.D., chief medical officer for Advocate Aurora Health, will receive the July 26 at the AHA Leadership Summit in San Diego. Downers Grove, IL-based Advocate Health Care and Milwaukee-based Aurora Health Care merged in April to form Advocate Aurora Health. As CMO, Sacks is responsible for safety, quality, population health, insurance, claims, and risk management. He previously served as founding CEO of Advocate Health Partners (now Advocate Physician Partners), a clinically integrated network of more than 5,000 physicians; and before that as executive vice president and CMO of Advocate Health Care. 鈥淟ee鈥檚 leadership in the field to promote value and meet the challenge of affordability in health care has been courageous and impactful,鈥 said Jay Bhatt, D.O., president of HRET and chief medical officer at the AHA. 鈥淗is work on clinical integration, physician engagement, and health care delivery innovation has been tremendous and supports the AHA鈥檚 commitment to quality, safety, value, and affordability.鈥 HRET is an AHA affiliate.
