Community Health and Environment Workshops
Overview
The Community Health and Environment initiative鈥檚 workshops are opportunities for hospital and health system leaders to engage in intensive discussions focused on the differential impacts the environment has on community health. Run from the perspective of hospital-based community health professionals, these on-site events taking place around the country help collect relevant information from hospitals and communities in regions across the United States.
Video recap of the first workshop
The workshops target hospital and health system leaders whose work relates to community health and community engagement, as well as the local public health or community-based organizations with which they collaborate. Workshop content is framed in the context of the work participants do, such as community health needs assessments and community health improvement plans.
Video recap of the second workshop
During the workshops, participants take part in a range of activities to catalog current environmental health impact initiatives and generate new solutions for assessing and addressing issues of community health and environment.
Workshop Snapshots
Key takeaways from each workshop will be published in a "snapshot" report and will include a summary of the knowledge generated during the workshop. In addition, the snapshots will help inform a Community Health and Environment toolkit.
