These and other factors have created a national emergency that needs our attention.

The AHA recently released the 2024 Health Care Workforce Scan, which identifies and shares strategies and resources that support hospital and health system teams.

The 2024 Scan focuses on three core challenges:

Creatively reimagine workforce roles and responsibilities.

Strategically redesign care delivery and practices.

Successfully transform workforce culture and patient care.

Highlighted in the Scan are insights, solutions and practical recommendations from hospitals and health systems across the country, as well as data on the latest trends and shifts in the health care workforce.

The Scan also identifies key drivers transforming the workforce, including reexamining and modernizing current staffing models; acknowledging the growing role of technology, including virtual nursing and artificial intelligence; continuing to move care beyond hospital walls; and adopting hybrid workforce policies.

Visit AHA’s workforce hub to download the 2024 Health Care Workforce Scan and find other workforce-related resources.

The AHA will continue to work with the field in developing innovative strategies and resources that protect and enhance the well-being of current health care workers and future generations of caregivers.
Mon, 27 Nov 2023 10:08:36 -0600 Staff Development Delaware Healthcare Association announces new CEO /news/headline/2023-08-22-delaware-healthcare-association-announces-new-ceo
The Delaware Hospital Association Aug. 18 named Brian Frazee as its new president and CEO. Seriously ill patients want their health care providers to create a care plan that helps them live their best life.

It starts with high quality palliative care.

So what is palliative care?

Palliative care is specialized medical care for people living with a serious illness. It is based on the needs of the patient, not on the patient’s prognosis.

Palliative care teams, composed of physicians, nurses, social workers, and chaplains provide an added layer of support to seriously ill patients of any age, their caregivers and their healthcare providers.

Palliative care training equips a multidisciplinary care team to not only assess and treat the condition, but also support decision making, help match medical treatments to informed patient and family goals, and identify and coordinate resources and services to ensure a seamless care plan across a spectrum of care settings.

Because it focuses on the highest need and highest cost patient segment, palliative care is particularly relevant as an essential strategy for population health management.

Follow us to learn more.

Facebook

Twitter

Youtube

Instagram

LinkedIn

/*VERTICAL MENU*/ nav#block-centerforhealthinnovation{ position:relative; background:#fff; } /* ALL UL */ nav#block-centerforhealthinnovation ul{ list-style: none; padding: 0px; } nav#block-centerforhealthinnovation .menu-item{ border-top: 1.5px #5ea0cf solid; } /* ALL LI */ nav#block-centerforhealthinnovation li{ position:relative; } nav#block-centerforhealthinnovation > ul > li.menu-item:last-child { border-bottom: 1.5px #5ea0cf solid; } /* ALL A */ nav#block-centerforhealthinnovation a{ display:block; color:#5fa1d0; text-decoration:none; padding:10px 15px; transition:0.2s; } nav#block-centerforhealthinnovation a:hover{ color:#fff; font-weight:700 } /* ALL A HOVER */ nav#block-centerforhealthinnovation li:hover > a{ background-color: #BFBFBF; } /* INNER UL HIDE */ nav#block-centerforhealthinnovation ul ul{ background:rgba(0,0,0,0.1); padding-left:50px; transition: max-height 0.2s ease-out; max-height:0; overflow:hidden; } /* INNER UL SHOW */ nav#block-centerforhealthinnovation li:hover > ul{ max-height:500px; transition: max-height 0.25s ease-in; } @media screen and (max-width: 768px) { nav#block-centerforhealthinnovation ul ul{ max-height:100%; } }

Center for Health Innovation

About

Discover

Engage

Explore All Center Programs

Palliative Care

Palliative Care Patients Tell Their Stories

Palliative Care Leading Experts

Wed, 23 Oct 2019 10:32:52 -0500 Staff Development
