Our engagement vehicle is reminiscent of a virtual radio show where the message of HRO could be “broadcast” to those who have never heard of it. This presentation shows how a virtual radio show format can be used to spread culture change, connecting the dots between the HRO principles and daily operations. Healthy meals should be high in fiber, low in saturated fat and cholesterol, nutrient dense, and proven to manage and reverse chronic disease. Plant-based meals can meet these goals and should be the primary focus for patient meals. Some diet orders may need special consideration, and plant-based meals can fit into these diet orders with some planning. To make menu changes at a health care institution, it is important to identify allies, work as a team to develop new recipes and taste test meals, and educate all staff on the importance of healthy meals. Resources and recipes are available at the Physicians Committee’s Healthy Hospital Program webpage.

Learning Objectives:

Describe the importance of health promoting meals in the hospital setting

Understand how plant-based meals can fit into specific therapeutic diets

Learn about practical examples and tools for institutions to implement plant-based menus

Speakers:

Anna Herby, DHSc, RD, CDE
Nutrition Education Specialist, Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine

Dustin Harder
Culinary Specialist, Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine

Download the slides

SPONSORED BY:

.webform-submission-form { max-width: 700px; } .TTwebinarHide{ display:none } .event-content.panel .TTwebinarHide { display:block; background-color: #fff; padding: 15px 15px 15px 15px; border: solid 2px #307FE2; text-align: center; }
Team Training offers a variety of webinars - view our current offering(s) or browse the library.

Thu, 08 Aug 2024 15:30:53 -0500 AHA Team Training Overview of Final IPPS Rule (FY) 2025 Aug 29 /education-events/overview-final-ipps-rule-fy-2025
Date:

Thursday August 29, 2024
12:00 – 1:00 PM Central Time

This webinar will provide an overview of the published final rule for the fiscal year (FY) 2025 Inpatient Prospective Payment System (IPPS) related to coding, MS-DRGs and regulatory proposals.

Topics will include:

MS-DRG classification finalized changes

MCE Code Editor (MCE) – proposed rule comment overview and finalized outcome

ICD-10-CM severity level finalized revisions

Comprehensive CC/MCC Analysis – status of the proposed nine guiding principles

New Technology Add-on Payment (NTAP) – finalized NTAPs and corresponding ICD-10-CM/PCS codes

Hospital Inpatient Quality Reporting Program – outcome of proposals with potential coding considerations

CC exclusions and suppression logic – proposed rule comment overview and finalized outcome

Other related coding and MS-DRG items

References and Questions

Speakers:

Tammy Love, RHIA, CCS, CDIP – Director Coding Classification and Policy, Association

Webinar Cost:
$35/person

We can only accept credit card payments and no refunds will be processed.

Please make sure you are registering for the correct webinar.

Please verify your email address before purchasing.

For group registrations of 30 or more, information can be found here.

For registration questions, please email codingwebinars@aha.org.

CEU Information:
1-hour AAPC
This program meets AAPC guidelines for 1.0 CEU.
