To thank South Carolina’s health care workforce for their brave commitment to patients and communities in the face of COVID-19, the (SCHA) deployed a "Health Care Heroes Truck" to visit hospitals across the state and share messages of appreciation. The truck traveled across South Carolina May 6 – 12 to coincide with National Hospital Week and National Nurses Week and provide an opportunity to say "thank you" to nurses, doctors and other front-line workers who are supporting the state during the pandemic.

Via social media, the SCHA encouraged people to share personal messages of gratitude using the hashtag #SCHealthcareHeroes. These messages were featured on a full LED screen that covered an entire side of the truck. SCHA’s and pages highlight the visits and celebrations as the traveling billboard made stops at hospitals across the state.
