2024 Marketplace enrollment surpasses 21 million

A record 21.3 million people selected a 2024 health plan through the Health Insurance Marketplaces during the open enrollment period, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services Jan. 24. About three-quarters of enrollees were renewing coverage and the rest were new consumers. 2024 open enrollment ended Jan. 15 for the marketplace, but continues through Jan. 31 in several marketplaces.
