HRSA awards $100M to grow the nursing workforce

The Health Resources and Services Administration yesterday $64.8 million to programs to train advanced practice nurses to provide primary care, mental health care and maternal care; $8.7 million to programs to train licensed practical nurses to become registered nurses; and $26.5 million for programs to provide and cancel loans for students who become nurse faculty.
鈥淣urses are an essential part of our nation鈥檚 health care system,鈥 Health and Human Services Secretary Xavier Becerra. 鈥淣ow more than ever, we need to double down on our investments in nurses who care for communities across the country.鈥
