SAMHSA announces additional $200M for 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline
States, territories and tribes can apply for a portion of $200 million in new funding to build local capacity for the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline and related services, the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration . The funding includes grants to recruit, hire and train the 988 Lifeline workforce, improve the local response, and allow call centers to provide systematic follow-up to suicidal persons who reach out to the 988 Lifeline.
