Agencies award grants to help clinicians, schools meet children鈥檚 mental health needs

The Health Resources and Services Administration today over five years to help 24 health care and educational organizations integrate mental health training into training for primary care clinicians, with a focus on preparing them to treat mental health needs in children and adolescents. The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration also over $185 million to support mental health and trauma programs, training and services in schools and the community. The funding was included in the AHA-supported Bipartisan Safer Communities Act of 2022.
