Supplier asks customers to replace or retrofit certain respirators
AirBoss Defense Group that certain FlexAir Powered Air Purifying Respirators supplied to the Federal Emergency Management Agency to facilitate COVID-19 pandemic response must be replaced or retrofitted for continued National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health approval after the public health emergency ends.
鈥淲hile this contract was executed specifically to support the immediate need for PAPRs during the pandemic conditions that established the PHE, ADG recognizes that during conventional operations, NIOSH-approved respirators must be used in regulated occupational settings,鈥 the company said.
