The Medicare Payment Advisory Commission today released its March report to , which includes recent recommendations for hospital and other Medicare payment systems in fiscal year 2023 and a description of its prototype value-based purchasing program for post-acute care providers. 

In other news, the Medicaid and CHIP Payment and Access Commission also released its March report to , which looks at state flexibility and funding to transition Medicaid beneficiaries from institutional settings back into the community; Medicaid access to vaccines for adults; and Medicaid disproportionate share hospital allotments to states for hospitals that serve a high proportion of Medicaid and low-income patients.
