Reps. Cynthia Axne, D-Iowa, and Susan Wild, D-Pa., and 16 other House Democrats today urged President Biden and congressional leaders to take “quick and decisive action” to prevent the 2% Medicare sequester cuts and 4% statutory Pay-As-You-Go sequester from taking effect Jan. 1. They also urged them to prevent a negative 3.75% payment cut to the Medicare Physician Fee Schedule Conversion Factor and reverse looming cuts to radiation oncologists set to take effect under the Radiation Oncology Alternative Payment Model.

“All of these cuts can and should be prevented,” the representatives . “In previous years Congress has not allowed Statutory PAYGO cuts to take effect and we have found offsets to pay for reversing other similar cuts. We must act soon to give our health care providers certainty as January 1st approaches.”
