Study: Vaccination offers higher protection than previous COVID-19 infection
In a study of over 7,000 adults hospitalized with COVID-19 symptoms, unvaccinated patients with prior SARS-CoV-2 infection were five times more likely to have laboratory-confirmed COVID-19 than were patients fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and no previous infection, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention today. 鈥淲e now have additional evidence that reaffirms the importance of COVID-19 vaccines, even if you have had prior infection,鈥 CDC Director Rochelle Walensky, M.D.
