HHS extends shelf life for monoclonal antibody
The Department of Health and Human Services’ Office of the Assistant Secretary for Preparedness and Response and Food and Drug Administration today extended the for the monoclonal antibody therapy etesevimab, which currently must be administered with bamlanivimab. Unopened vials of etesevimab may be stored for an additional six months from the labeled date of expiry. The extension applies to all unopened vials of etesevimab that have been stored as detailed in the fact sheet for and for bamlanivimab and etesevimab administered together.
