CDC awards ARPA funding to expand public health workforce
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Friday awarded states and other jurisdictions in supplemental funding from the American Rescue Plan Act to hire and train disease intervention specialists to prevent and respond to COVID-19 and other infectious diseases. ARPA included more than $1 billion over five years to bolster the public health workforce.
