FCC announces 7-day window to apply for COVID-19 telehealth funding
The Federal Communications Commission will accept applications for funding from April 29 at 12 p.m. ET to May 6 at 12 p.m. ET.
The Consolidated Appropriations Act authorized an additional $249.95 million in funding for the program to reimburse eligible health care providers responding to the COVID-19 pandemic for telecommunications services, information services and devices needed to provide critical connected care services.
鈥淔or over a year, health care providers have fought on the front lines of this pandemic and have had to rapidly innovate to support the health and well-being of all Americans,鈥 said FCC Acting Chairwoman Jessica Rosenworcel. 鈥淭elehealth has been at the forefront of this effort and I鈥檓 pleased to announce that additional support is just around the corner.鈥
