Invitation to participate in initiative to address maternal hypertension

The AHA invites hospitals and health systems to participate in the Better Maternal Outcomes Improvement Sprint, a free, six-week program focused on reducing harm from hypertension. Sponsored by the Institute for Healthcare Improvement, the sprint centers on key change ideas, getting a program started, building goodwill, meaningful measurement and improving equity. The sprint begins Jan. 12, 2021; interested hospitals can learn more . The AHA is partnering with IHI as part of the association鈥檚 . 鈥淭he AHA is focused on reducing preventable complications related to childbirth,鈥 said Priya Bathija, AHA鈥檚 vice president of strategic initiatives. 鈥淏HMB and our IHI partnership are the foundation of our commitment to continuing improvements in maternal safety.鈥
