Senate sends FY 2020 funding bill with Medicaid DSH cut delay to president
The Senate today voted 71-23 to pass legislation () funding the Department of Health and Human Services and other non-Defense agencies for fiscal year 2020, sending it to the president for his signature before the current funding expires tomorrow night. Approved by the House Tuesday, the legislation delays $4 billion in Medicaid Disproportionate Share Hospital cuts through May 22, 2020, and extends a number of other health care programs. It does not address surprise medical bills or use hospital funding to offset other spending priorities.
