AHA and CAPC introduce resource hub for advancing palliative care

The AHA and Center to Advance Palliative Care today launched a Palliative Care Support Hub, which offers hospitals and health systems a framework for assessing, measuring and expanding palliative care services. Research shows that when patients with serious illness receive the right kind of care, hospitals and health systems improve outcomes, gain efficiencies, lower staff burnout and reduce spending. About 12.4 million Americans are living with serious illness.
