Hospitals treat patients from Ohio, Kansas tornadoes

Dayton-area hospitals treated about 130 people for storm-related injuries after tornadoes struck the area Monday night, according to . Kettering Health Network hospitals reported treating 79 patients, while Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton and Miami Valley Hospital North in Englewood reported treating 27 and 22 patients, respectively. Upper Valley Medical Center in Troy and Miami Valley Hospital South in Centerville also reported treating at least one patient. A large tornado also struck parts of Kansas last night causing some injuries and severe damage. Lawrence Memorial Hospital received 12 people with injuries, a hospital spokeswoman told the Kansas City Star, and others were taken to local hospitals. The Kansas tornado is the latest in severe weather that has affected parts the central United States in recent days.
