Department of Health and Human Services Deputy Secretary Eric Hargan will address the AHA Annual Membership Meeting on April 8, the association announced today. Hargan, who has served as deputy secretary since October 2017, is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations and management of HHS, as well as leading policy and strategy development. In addition to Hargan, the AHA recently announced a number of new speakers to the meeting’s lineup, including: Sen. Roy Blunt, R-Mo.; Reps. Richard Neal, D-Mass., Michael Burgess, R-Texas, and Donna Shalala, D-Fla.; and Adam Boehler, senior advisor to the HHS Secretary, Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services deputy administrator, and director of the Innovation Center.
