Clough, Bailey to receive AHA Board of Trustees Awards

The AHA will present its 2019 Board of Trustees Awards to Jeanette Clough, president and CEO of Mount Auburn Hospital in Cambridge, Mass., and Bruce Bailey, president and CEO of Tidelands Health in Georgetown, S.C., at the AHA Annual Membership Meeting April 8 in Washington, D.C. The award recognizes individuals or groups who have made substantial and noteworthy contributions to the work of the AHA.
Clough鈥檚 AHA leadership and contributions began in 2006, and they continue today. She is the chair of AHA鈥檚 Health Forum and has helped guide that organization as a board member since 2012. In addition, she currently serves on the AHA Center for Health Innovation Leadership Council, and is a past member of the AHA Board of Trustees, chair of Regional Policy Board 1 and chair of the Committee on Performance Improvement.
鈥淛eanette鈥檚 keen insights and in-depth knowledge of the challenges facing hospitals and health systems have made her an invaluable leader in our field,鈥 said AHA President and CEO Rick Pollack. 鈥淚n addition to her many other contributions, her leadership of AHA鈥檚 Health Forum has helped advance the health of individuals and communities by providing organizations with the tools and educational resources they need to improve patient care.鈥
Bailey is a past member of the AHA Board of Trustees and chair of Regional Policy Board 4. He currently is the chair of the AHA Task Force on the 340B Drug Pricing Program and serves on the board of the AHA鈥檚 Institute for Diversity and Health Equity.
