The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration鈥檚 Office of Emergency Medical Services today released an updated agenda for the nation鈥檚 EMS system. Developed with stakeholder and public input, the targets a 鈥減eople-centered鈥 EMS system that is 鈥渋nherently safe and effective, integrated and seamless, reliable and prepared, socially equitable, sustainable and efficient, and adaptable and innovative." In addition to NHTSA, the report was developed with support from the Department of Health and Human Services鈥 Health Resources and Services Administration and Assistant Secretary for Preparedness and Response and the Department of Homeland Security鈥檚 Office of Health Affairs.
