Duane Dauner Receives AHA Distinguished Service Award

AHA today presented its Distinguished Service Award to C. Duane Dauner, special advisor and former president and CEO of the California Hospital Association. The award, the AHA鈥檚 highest honor, recognizes significant lifetime contributions and service to health care institutions and associations. Dauner received the award at the AHA Annual Membership Meeting in Washington, D.C. 鈥淒uane鈥檚 untiring commitment to advocacy and education helped spur advancements for the patients served by California hospitals and health systems,鈥 said AHA President and CEO Rick Pollack. 鈥淗is dedication and leadership helped to establish practices that afforded hospitals and health systems with the necessary resources to provide quality care to their communities.鈥
