Maine Hospitals Contribute $10.2 Billion to Economy

Maine hospitals contributed $10.2 billion and 66,870 direct and indirect jobs to the state鈥檚 economy in 2016, according to a released last week by the Maine Hospital Association. 鈥淢aine hospitals' primary mission is to heal the sick and injured and improve the health of our communities, but a very important byproduct of that is the enormous economic contribution we make to our communities,鈥 MHA President Steven Michaud.
