HHS Secretary Azar to Address AHA Annual Meeting
Health and Human Services Secretary Alex Azar will speak at the AHA Annual Membership Meeting on May 8 in Washington, D.C. Azar became HHS secretary in January. He was president of Lilly USA and served as deputy HHS secretary under the George W. Bush administration. AHA recently announced that Rep. Peter Roskam (R-IL), chairman of the Health Subcommittee on Ways and Means, and House Democratic Caucus Chairman Joseph Crowley (D-NY) also will speak at the meeting.
