Tools Show County-Level Hospitalization Rates for Opioids, Other Drugs
A new from the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality allows users to compare county-level hospitalization rates for opioids, alcohol, stimulants and other drugs. 鈥淲e believe AHRQ鈥檚 new resource will help communities better understand local challenges and support their efforts to formulate the most effective remedies to reduce substance abuse, including the opioid crisis,鈥 AHRQ Director Gopal Khanna. The agency also has updated its showing trends and variation in opioid-related hospital stays to include county-specific data for 32 states.
