Umbdenstock named to C-TAC Board of Directors
The Coalition to Transform Advanced Care (C-TAC) has Rich Umbdenstock, AHA past president and CEO, to its Board of Directors. Also joining the board is Jeffrey Burnich, M.D., senior vice president of medical and market networks for Sacramento, CA-based Sutter Health. “The expertise that Rich and Jeff bring respectively to our board is unparalleled,” said Tom Koutsoumpas, co-chair of the C-TAC board. “Both have dedicated decades to improving hospital systems, care delivery, implementation and payment model reform.” Umbdenstock, who retired from the AHA last year, said, “We stand on the brink of enormous change in care delivery, payment models and community supported care for those living with advanced illness. How we move forward will affect millions of people at an incredibly vulnerable time in their lives. C-TAC has worked to help find and implement care delivery models that work. They are well-poised to act as a continuing catalyst for change and I look forward to bringing my experience and perspective to the table.”
