Eligible inpatient and cancer hospitals, inpatient rehabilitation facilities and long-term care hospitals now have until Feb. 27 to submit data on healthcare-associated infections to the National Healthcare Safety Network, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services announced today, citing recent “periodic latency” using the system. The original deadline was Feb. 15. The extension applies only to HAI data. The Feb. 15 deadline for certain other ,  and  measures remains unchanged.
