This week’s AHA Leadership  in San Diego gives us the opportunity to honor our hospital and health system champions for their inspiring work.

Bluegrass Care Navigators and the collaboration of Providence Little Company of Mary Medical Center Torrance, Providence TrinityCare Hospice & Trinity Kids Care and the Providence Institute for Human Caring will be honored with Circle of Life Awards for their innovative programs in palliative and end-of-life care.

California’s Hospital Quality Institute will receive the Dick Davidson Quality Milestone Award for Allied Association Leadership for its work to improve health care quality. Five effective hospital-led collaborative programs that are focused on improving community health will receive AHA NOVA Awards.

And Kaiser Permanente will receive the AHA Equity of Care for its efforts to reduce health care disparities and foster diversity within their leadership and staff.

The AHA thanks our award winners for their leadership – and all of you who go beyond the call of duty to do exceptional work on critical health care issues. Visit www.aha.org/about/awards to find out how you can make a nomination or be nominated for one of next year’s awards.
