Health care workers face a disproportionate percentage of workplace violence, which is a growing concern. In the health care field, clinicians have a 20% higher chance of being the victim of workplace violence than workers in other industries. Forty-four percent of nurses reported experiencing physical violence. Health care leaders are seeking to ensure a safer and more welcoming environment to provide care to their patients.
