AI in Health Care: Keys to a Smarter Future
Thursday, August 2, 2018
1 - 2 p.m. Eastern; noon - 1 p.m. Central; 10 - 11 a.m. Pacific
With advances in artificial intelligence (AI), computing power and data science, we have entered a new era of medicine. There’s a tremendous opportunity to improve the quality and efficiency of care, and prevention and prediction for an individual are finally going to be possible. Clinicians are inundated with and asked to integrate a tremendous amount of data into clinical practice. Until recently, the tools to harness vast quantities of information in a meaningful way to help patients have not been available. AI helps solve that problem.
Learn from Mark Michalski, M.D., ‎executive director, Center for Clinical Data Science, Massachusetts General Hospital and Brigham and Women's Hospital, about exciting partnerships, clinicians, and researchers who are transforming health care by applying the latest advances in artificial intelligence and developing tools that we previously only dreamed of having. Dr. Michalski will be joined by GE Healthcare experts Travis Froch, senior director of analytics solutions, and Dr. Rob Nelson, global marketing portfolio director for AI and analytics, for a panel discussion and Q&A following his presentation.
Attendees Will Learn:
• How AI can make a difference in making care fundamentally better and saving lives
• Where AI enables true evidence-based health care by streamlining predictions, planning and decision making
• What AI-enabled medicine means to health systems and payers
• Expected paradigm shifts in pathology and radiology
