Amici鈥檚 members are deeply affected by the Nation鈥檚 health care laws, particularly the Affordable Care Act (鈥淎CA鈥). See Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, Pub. L. No. 111-148, 124 Stat. 119 (2010); Health Care and Education Reconciliation Act of 2010, Pub. L. No. 111-152, 124 Stat. 1029. That is why they have filed amicus briefs in support of the law in the Supreme Court, the courts of appeals, and courts across the Nation. See, e.g., King v. Burwell, 135 S. Ct. 2480 (2015); Nat鈥檒 Fed鈥檔 of Indep. Bus. v. Sebelius, 567 U.S. 519 (2012); U.S. House of Representatives v. Azar, No. 16-5202 (D.C. Cir. 2018). Just as in those cases, amici write to offer guidance, from hospitals鈥 perspective, on the harmful impact that striking down the law would have on the American health care system.
