Visitors to UCHealth鈥檚 website can chat with Livi by speaking or using text commands to access information about various health topics. With the opening greeting of 鈥淎lexa, ask UCHealth,鈥 a visitor can get answers to such questions as: 鈥淲here can I find information on diabetes?鈥 鈥淲here is the nearest urgent care center?鈥 or 鈥淐an you find me a neurologist?鈥 It also can provide contact information for specific physicians and share the latest UCHealth patient stories.

Livi鈥檚 conversational AI will grow smarter with each use, and UCHealth is testing the platform with Google Assistant voice-enabled devices the health system says. In addition, UCHealth is working to integrate Livi into both its electronic health record system and its mobile app. The system鈥檚 vision is to connect patients with their personal health information so they can obtain lab results and schedule appointments more easily.
